ABOUT RYAN

Ryan is 34 years old, has been a member of Garage Gym Athlete since March 2018, and lives in the suburbs of Chicago with his wife and two children ages 5 and 9. His job includes a mix of working remotely (pre-COVID), working in the office, and international travel so the GGA program's flexibility has helped him to remain consistent regardless of where he's at.

HOW HE USED GARAGE GYM ATHLETE

He is currently a member of the BCT crew and has thoroughly been enjoying the challenge. Two of his goals for the program are to back squat 400 lbs and run a sub-six minute mile by the program's end in September 2021. Additionally, it's been almost ten years since he's run a marathon and the increase in aerobic training that he's been doing has reignited my interest in long-distance endurance goals."

RESULTS

Since beginning Garage Gym Athlete, Ryan dropped 32 lbs of body weight and has increased his core barbell lifts (back squat, deadlift, strict press) by 250 lbs. His vested Murph time has also decreased to below 33 minutes.

HIS BEST ADVICE FOR GARAGE GYM ATHLETES…

Get into a routine and stick with it. The times I struggle the most is when I push my workout to later than usual. And that can be a snowball effect. If you plan for it and schedule for it you can get it done. “
