ABOUT JASON

Jason is a 41-year-old Pharmacist from Grayson (Northeastern) Kentucky. He has been married above for 18 years. They have four children, two boys (13 and 2) and two girls (12 and 10). He also survived cardiac arrest twice (v-fib and v-tach) on 3/26/2016.

HOW HE USED GARAGE GYM ATHLETE

Jason trains in my basement garage. He has completed over 9 cycles of training, including Hard to Kill, Shred, and Strength tracks. He has shifted his focus in 2020 to concentrate more on conditioning, without losing strength, which is why he started doing Murph every Sunday morning in April. His strength is mostly holding steady, while he's made huge advances in speed, endurance, and overall work capacity.

RESULTS

His 2021 goal is to complete a Spartan Trifecta in one weekend. GGA PRs Since 9/2018 Back Squat 345 -> 385 (+40); Front Squat 225 -> 295 (+70); Strict Press 145 -> 165 (+20); Push Press 185 -> 205 (+20); Clean 185 -> 205 (+20); Total Barbell increases (+170#). Dips 21 -> 39; Pull-ups 12 -> 25; 1 mile run 10:18 -> 6:53 (-3:25); EO3 5k - Time capped at 60 min -> 39:38; Vested Murph - just under an hour -> 34:18; Body Fat - down 3%. Resting HR - 68 down to 50 (sometimes upper 40s).

HIS BEST ADVICE FOR GARAGE GYM ATHLETES…

Keep grinding. Keep working on mobility. Most Garage Gym Athlete are older so if you keep working on mobility, do your block zero, you’re going to get ahead of the game. “
