SUCCESS STORY QUICK WINS

ABOUT BRIAN

Brian is a 51-year-old father of two sons and has been married to his wife for 26 years. He is originally from Minneapolis but currently split time between Milwaukee and Phoenix during the year. He works as a Director for an IT consulting company allowing him to work from anywhere.

HOW HE USED GARAGE GYM ATHLETE

He has been active for most of his life in sports and other activities. For most of the last 10 years, he spent time in the gym doing the basic lifts - Bench, Squat, Press, and Deadlift. In 2017 a Heart Failure diagnosis caused him to make a change to his workouts. He saw Jerred's Murph project and found Garage Gym Athlete while searching for a bodyweight program. He has loved the approach GGA has with concurrent training and the Meet Yourself Saturdays as well as the community. This has been the best decision of my fitness life.

RESULTS

A couple of his improvements have been unvested Murph dropped from 43:15 to 37:43; his 1-mile time dropped from 8:58 to 7:29; his strict pull-ups went up from 12-17; and his weight has dropped from 186 to 172.

HIS BEST ADVICE FOR GARAGE GYM ATHLETES…

‘Adversity doesn’t build character, it reveals it.’ That’s the best advice I have. Push yourself every single day.”
